Hear this powerful piece performed by a massed choir, including Hartford Chorale, in a concert from 2010. Described as “harrowing and mournful,” the Requiem was commissioned for the reconsecration of Coventry Cathedral after it had been destroyed by Nazi bombs in WWII. Recorded live at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, Christopher Zimmerman conducting.
