Message from the Music Director

Dear Chorale,

We are nearing the end of our Dvorak journey, and it has been a very enjoyable one. Last night’s orchestra rehearsal in Farmington was invigorating and makes me very excited for this weekend! Thank you for accommodating new/additional requests by Maestro Colby. Be prepared for that again at the Friday dress rehearsal. To that end, you must have a pencil with you to make such markings in your score. Reminder: there are no chairs for dress rehearsal or concert. We will only be coming on for the Dvorak. As I mentioned last night, I do have some notes for you (as well as some from the VSLs). They are attached as a separate document.

Hartford Chorale on Parade! Thank you to all have reached out. Next Monday’s conclave will be a fun evening!! If you are performing, I must have your program info (name, title, composer) by tomorrow. Please email it to Also, it is your responsibility to work out rehearsals time with Jim (or bring your own accompanist).
