Message from the Music Director

Dear Chorale,

A Huge thanks to all who came out for the watch party of our Hurd-Bonds concert. A good time was had by all, and once again, our Social Committee provided a wonderful spread! We have just one remaining conclave, and I am so excited we can bring this program to our area – see you there!

However, our eyes now turn straight ahead to Vivaldi & Bernstein. I am still waiting to hear from the conductor about the edit masters. I hope to hear something within the week. I appreciate your patience on this. That said, in the absence of an edit master, there is still basic work you can do with notes and rhythm for each movement. I am happy to report that Librarians will also be at the 2/26 conclave.

IMPORTANT NOTE RE: VIVALDI SCORES

This past Monday some of you picked up copies/spiral bound versions of the Vivaldi instead of the official scores. Those copies/spiral bound versions are simply placeholders until the HSO receives the rest of the order. If you did pick up one of the copies, please know that you will have to exchange it for a real version at some point. The only thing allowed on stage will be the official score (unless you are using a tablet).

Happy Practicing!

Jack

Message from the President

Dear Hartford Chorale,

Congratulations on an excellent concert and two wonderful conclaves. I have heard that all events were fun and successful. I am sorry to have missed them, as I had some unexpected travel. I have returned and am really looking forward to Monday’s conclave. As I had mentioned in our rehearsal, the stars aligned very well to put together this meaningful event, and we can all work together to make it a resounding success. This is one not to be missed! Please do reach out to your friends, family and colleagues and encourage them to attend. We would love to see a full house. The event is free!

My sincere thanks to you all for everything you do to help keep our performing halls full. We are in a very fortunate position to grow our community and this is only possible through our collective efforts. I am very excited about Monday and look forward to seeing you and your guests at the conclave!

Lalitha

Dear Chorale,

Thank you to everyone who has attended the first two conclaves — we have one more and it is going to be a great event! I hope everyone can join us. The Conclave is open to the public for free and will be presented at the Artists Collective (1200 Albany Ave. Hartford, CT 06112). Please bring your friends and family! Scores will be available at the next Conclave as well if you need to stop by and pick them up.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out!

Thank you so much! Enjoy your weekend!
