Message from the Music Director

Dear Chorale,

Happy Leap Year Day!

Thanks to all who came to the Artist’s Collective for our program on African American Spirituals. It was inspirational/educational, and we were treated to some amazing singing! There were over 125 in attendance, including representatives from the HSO, and some of our corporate sponsors. Outside of our concerts, it is events like this that help us create new pathways in the community, and I could not be prouder of what we are doing!

Looking to Vivaldi & Bernstein – I hope you have enjoyed your preparation on this music as much as I have. I have heard from our Guest Conductor, Jacomo Bairos. He loves the edit masters (yay!) and is looking forward to working with us! Those Edit Masters are now uploaded to the member page of the website, as well as the info document for this concert. We will be covering all music at the first rehearsal.

IMPORTANT NOTE RE: VIVALDI SCORES

Some of you picked up copies/spiral bound versions of the Vivaldi instead of the official scores. Those copies/spiral bound versions are simply placeholders until the HSO receives the rest of the order. If you did pick up one of the copies, please know that you will have to exchange it for a real version at some point. The only thing allowed on stage will be the official score (unless you are using a tablet).

See you Monday!

Jack

Message from the Executive Director

Hello Chorale,

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the final conclave of the Season! The African American Spirituals program was a success and a great chance to further our reach into the Hartford community. I hope everyone who attended had a great time!

If you have yet to get your scores for this concert, please use the uploaded edit masters as reference and then see me to pick up your scores on Monday. There is no fee as we are once again loaning out the scores. If you have yet to return the Dvorak scores, please get them back to me or one of the librarians on Monday.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out!

Thank you so much! Enjoy your weekend and I will see you on Monday!

Emily
