Message to Membership – January 19, 2023

Message from Music Director
Dear Chorale,

With two rehearsals completed, we have now looked at all of the music for the concert. As you have discovered, there are moments of beauty and joy throughout, and also some “mountain tops“ that we have yet to fully understand. To that end, it goes without saying that there is much work to be done. Over the next few rehearsals, our collective progress will only be possible because of each person’s individual effort. What you do in your own preparation will be the catalyst, and I believe we can get there.

For this coming Monday, we will be spending more time on “Credo”, and revisiting some of the music from the first half.

I would like to say a HUGE word of thanks to Sarah Chassé for jumping in on short notice this past week and managing the rehearsal until my arrival. It was comforting and calming to know that you all were in such capable hands.

Message from the Golf Committee 

HELP WANTED – We need you!!!

The golf committee is looking for volunteers to help us make this year’s Hartford Chorale Golf Tournament the best ever and you don’t need to be a golfer to help. The Tournament is scheduled for Monday January 26th at Blackledge in Hebron CT. The committee has already kicked off plans for this year and there are dozens of ways that you can help. Be an insider in helping us with tasks like reaching out to sponsors to support the tournament with tee signs or with other sponsorships at all levels, help us pick out swag for giveaways and learn how we put it all together.
