Message from the Music Director
Dear Chorale,
AND WE’RE OFF! It was so wonderful to be together for our first rehearsal this past Monday. The energy in the room was electric for so many reasons: a fantastic group of new members, fun music, great fellowship, etc. As you could see from the “opening ceremonies”, there are many hands that make the Hartford Chorale run, and I am grateful for all of them. On that note, a special thanks to our Social Committee (Dawn Bauer, chair) for hosting a fabulous social last Saturday – they are always up to the task, and never disappoint!
Even though we did not get to the “Suite from the Addams Family”, it is the simplest of all the pieces, using only unison singing & finger snaps. That said, please review it so that you are singing exactly what is on the page, and not just a rough approximation. As for the rest, spend time reviewing everything we did, paying specific attention to “Tales of Halloween II”. We will also work on finding initial pitches for certain spots. With all the pieces, utilize the rehearsal aids on the member page of our website. We will be using those in our rehearsal next week to run everything.
