We are thrilled to continue a long-time dream with the Hartford Chorale’s small ensemble: the Hartford Chorale Chamber Singers! The ensemble is a 24-voice group, selected from Hartford Chorale membership, and led by our Assistant Music Director, Colin Britt.

The Hartford Chorale Chamber Singers enhance and extend the mission of the Chorale by reaching beyond the setting of the concert hall to entertain, educate and inspire a variety of new audiences through high quality choral performances. Ensemble members are dedicated to this mission, and it shines through in every performance we give.

In our first 5 seasons, we have lived up to expectations by performing beautiful and appealing programs for many community organizations, and partnering with other choral groups to create exciting collaborations. Our outreach opportunities have taken us throughout the Hartford region, as well as Massachusetts and New Haven. Our repertoire includes all genres of music, and our audience reviews reinforce that what we do really matters.

Our commitment to education is always evident, as we encourage student singers to join us as part of the Hartford Chorale’s internship program, and by engaging future professional musicians as instrumentalists for our performances.

A Musical Centerpiece

A Musical Centerpiece describes the feature work for our final program of the season. We will present Haydn’s Paukenmesse and other works to feature music that is written as a creative response to war. We are happy to be returning to Center Church in Hartford for this special performance.
